My name is Carlos Millán, I am originally from Mexico City and have always been passionate about European art and history, especially French, Italian, and Mexican culture.
My academic journey has taken me across several countries. In Italy, at the University of Padua, where I earned a degree in Art, Music, and Performance. In England, in London, at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, where I completed a Master’s degree in Fine and Decorative Arts. And in France, in Paris, where I trained as a specialist art market consultant at Drouot Formation, then in Rouen, where I earned a PhD in French literature on the fascinating topic: “The Lady behind the Camellias, Marie Duplessis: a subject for social, mythical, and literary reflection.”
I am fluent in four languages: Spanish, French, Italian, and English.
Professionally, I had the pleasure of working for the auction house Morton Casa de Subastas in Mexico City, first as Director of the Antiques Department, and later as Director of its European branch in Paris for nearly twelve years. I also worked as a tour guide and researcher at the Basilica of Guadalupe and the Soumaya Museum in Mexico.
Today, I share my experience, culture, and passion with visitors, helping them discover the countless wonders that Europe, France, and Paris have to offer.
