We will start from the Opéra to talk about the most emblematic buildings, squares and avenues of the capital; we will discover the history of the Madeleine church with its particular shape of a Greek temple, the Place de la Concorde, one of the four royal squares of Paris, whose beauty makes us forget the bloody theater of the mass executions that took place there during the Revolution, the controversy that the Eiffel Tower aroused at the time, the origin of the Tuileries gardens, the elegant Place Vendôme, a brief history of the Louvre and its past from royal palace to museum, the anecdotes of the oldest bridge curiously called the Pont Neuf (New Bridge) and finally, we will explain the two most important Gothic jewels of the capital: Notre-Dame Cathedral and Sainte-Chapelle.
